Unpublished Autobiography

I visited the James and Janie Washington Foundation yesterday and read a draft of Mr. Washington's autobiography. I learned that Doreen Mitchum and Nancy Rawles helped assemble this 21 chapter memoir. I read about his personal history with racism, relationships with Mark Tobey and Diego Rivera, and artistic process. I look forward to returning weekly to the rich trove of information.
